Light Skin, Dark Skin, My Asian Persuasion,

Let's start out with the good news first. Janet (of the Jacksons) has released the video for the song Feedback from her highly anticipated forthcoming album "Discipline." What I love about Ms. Janet is that she gets right back on that horse even after radio stations refused (for the most part) to play any singles off of "20 Y.O.", a very good album that was given the cold shoulder, just like "Damita Jo." I also want to praise Mrs. Dupri? for getting right back out there so soon and not making her fans wait too long.



Did you see it, did you enjoy it? I am the biggest Janet fan if ever there was one, but I just want her to wow me. I am not a fan of the science fiction special effects she used, but what I did like was the ending of the video where she is bouncing the white liquefied balls up into the stratosphere. I just think that Janet alone dancing without all the digital effects is enough to satisfy all her fans. Check out "Pleasure Principle" from back in the day, one of Janet's best videos. Anyway, can't wait until the entire album is released. Go Janet...I'm hoping that the rest of the album lives up to your first single!

BADDDD NEWWWS

Yeah, I know how to spell. Okay, A. gets sick this weekend, I mean the fever, chills, body aches, the whole 9 yards. And what a baby when sick. A is like: "Come hold me!" "Come lay with me!" So, as the perfect mate, I do what I can to try to make A. feel better, while is is hacking all over me. Try as I might, I wake up Monday with a scratchiness in my throat while A. is getting better. I had to call in to work today and might not make it tomorrow either, if I don't break this fever and horrible cough. I know, I'm the best...but I really don't need to be sick right now. Plus, we have a busted pipe under the sink in the kitchen, a downed line in the back yard that I need to call about and I am ill-equipped for this sickness. And I just heard that Barack Obama is running second to Hilary Clinton. Still too close to call though. Does it sound like I am complaining? I should know better. I should go to urgent care like A. did, but I hate hospitals. Ever the optimist, I am trying to practice the Secret and see myself as well. I will let you know when it starts to work!

Well what do I do now? Well I am going to leave you with something light...light-skinned that is. Although I think I prefer dark skin, and Asian men are exotic, I have to support my own kind this time around!

Christmas Holiday

Here it is...the Christmas holiday season. I hope that everyone is having a great one. I am in Indianapolis with my family. After a rough start, things are now going pretty smooth. Just sitting around with my mom and the 4 little kids are keeping me busy as well.

A couple of days ago, I watched Norbit, the Eddie Murphy movie. Of course, one of the principles from that movie peaked my interest: Lester Speight. If you like big football player types (and who doesn't?) Lester is your guy. He usually plays big, muscular, menacing and dumb. But I also think he's sexy as hell.

Winter's Here!

burrr!!!!! it's cold!!!!!




















Yes, Winter is here. I drove home in that stuff last night. The roads weren't that bad but I am always surprised at how crazy some people will still drive on icy and snowy roads. Went to bed about 2, woke about 5:30, shoveled the driveway and sidewalks for the kids and doing all of this with this lingering cold that I have had since Thanksgiving. Oh well, you know what they say: no rest for the wicked :)
I promise to post more regularly in the future and I hope to start including some video footage. Stay tuned.
Speaking of staying tuned, did anyone catch Sunday's Desperate Housewives? All I want to know is that Carlos will be okay after his fight with the Senator in the midst of the Tornado. Carlos, (played by the beefy, sexy Ricardo Chavirais) is a favorite of mine...even A. thinks he's hot, capital HOT!!! Must be that facial hair.

I watched the movie "Quinceanera" a couple of weeks ago. Checkout another Carlos played by the incredibly cute wifebeater-wearing Jesse Garcia . I was quite surprised to find out that his character Carlos is gay, getting involved in a sexual relationship with his gay couple landlords.

Thanksgiving

Well, it's thanksgiving...and winter is here.


I know this because I have raked so many leaves. Have I mentioned I have a very huge tree in front of my house? Unfortunately I will have to go back out there again a couple more times. I am buying a blower soon.
On to other matters: Well, I must say I am adjusting well to my job at IIT. Becoming a supervisor for the first time has taken some getting used to...but for the most part, most of the college young adults that I work with are responsible enough to carry out their work duties, with just a couple of exceptions. Sunday is the only day that is a real struggle for me, but I am getting used to that as well. My work nights go by pretty fast. I have become quite the night owl now that I get off at 12am, staying up til 4am some nights, but all in all the adjustment to 2nd shift has not been that bad.
I am at my mom's for Thanksgiving. A's family is in Chicago. I will see them when I get back on Saturday evening.
Since the weather turned cold I haven't been able to go down to the lake to run like I had been doing, and getting on the treadmill hasn't happened either except for one day last week; have to change that...I still have lost about ten pounds. Just need to hit the weights so I can start showing that muscle definition.
